The narrative is firmly rooted in the politics of Palestinian liberation. Here is a necessary contribution to the heroic efforts of the Palestinian people to achieve justice in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.

Mangos With Chili is a Bay Area based arts organization committed to
showcasing high quality work of life saving importance by queer and trans
artists of color to audiences in the Bay Area and beyond. Founded in 2006 by
Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha and Ms Cherry Galette, Mangos with
Chilifeatures an annual touring cabaret of queer
and trans people of color performance artists, offering unforgettable
performance in celebration of our lives, stories, survival, and the legacies
we are creating for future generations of queer and trans people of color.

For over 3 years, Mangos With Chili has performed to sold out houses across
North America, wowing audiences in world class theaters, underground
performance spaces, bars, and campus halls, with their high intensity,

Binghamton Political Initiative (BPI) is a group of politically and socially conscious students, professors, and community members who plan educational events (panel discussions, workshops, speaker series, etc.) and other engaging activities in order to raise awareness and encourage open discussions regarding important current issues. "שוברים שתיקה" מקיימת משנת 2004 סיורים לחברון. מטרת הסיור היא לאפשר היכרות בלתי-אמצעית עם המציאות המורכבת של הכיבוש שבאה לידי ביטוי בצורה החריפה ביותר בסביבת היישוב היהודי בחברון.

ביום חמישי ה - 29.10.09 יתקיים סיור לחברון בעברית. היציאה מבנייני האומה בירושלים בשעה 8:30 בבוקר ועלות הנסיעה כ - 50 שקלים. חזרה משוערת: 14:30.

אורך הסיור בין 3 ל 4 שעות, מסלול ההליכה פשוט, מתאים לכל הגילאים וכולל בתוכו תחנות רבות של עצירה והדרכה. הסיורים מתואמים עם כוחות הבטחון שלעיתים גם מתלווים לקבוצות המסיירות.

הסיורים מודרכים על ידי חברי ארגון "שוברים שתיקה" אשר שירתו באזור ומספרים מנסיונם ומהכרותם על המציאות המורכבת שיוצר הכיבוש בעיר חברון, ועל המדיניות אותה מפעילה מדינת ישראל בעזרת צה"ל לשם גירוש תושבי העיר הפלסטיניים מבתיהם, אשר נתמכת ע"י אלימות המתנחלים.

"מגדר כלכלי". המרחב הפמיניסטי והמרחב הכלכלי מכילים בתוכם נקודות השקה רבות כמו למשל הזכות לקיניין- על אדמה, על ירושה ועל הגוף הנשי עצמו. נקודות השקה אלו מעצבות את השיח הפמיניסטי מראשיתו, וממשיכות להתנהל בגלגולים שונים בתיאוריה הפמיניסטית והכלכלית של היום.. הארת סוגיות כלכליות מזווית פמיניסטית מאפשרת קשת ראייה רחבה יותר של סוגיות חברתיות בוערות במציאות היום יומית, ומספקת בסיס תיאורטי יציב יותר לפעילות חברתית באוכלוסיות שונות. הקורס יכלול היכרות עם נושאים המשותפים לכלכלה ופמיניזם, תוך הנחת אבני יסוד הן בעקרונות החשיבה הפמיניסטית והן לגבי פעולה חברתית משמעותית בתחום.

The Nuclear Comeback Screening

In a world living in fear of climate change and global warming, the nuclear industry is now proposing itself as a solution. It claims that nuclear power generation produces zero carbon emissions... and people are listening. The result is the beginning of a global nuclear renaissance, with 27 nuclear power stations under construction, and another 136 to be commenced within the next decade.

The world's electricity consumption is expected to double in the next 25 years and the nuclear industry claims that nuclear power is the only large-scale method of power production that can reliably replace coal, gas or oil-fired power plants. But many people have an inherent fear of nuclear power. Is it time we learned to love the split atom? Or is there a risk that we might be jumping out of the carbon frying pan and into the plutonium fire?

Justin Pemberton's 2007 documentary, THE NUCLEAR COMEBACK, goes on a worldwide tour of the nuclear industry in search of answers. It visits some of the planet's most famous nuclear facilities, including the control room of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, it investigates the state of 'the grand old lady' of commercial nuclear power, the U.K.'s Calder Hall, and travels through a nuclear waste repository under the Baltic Sea, a uranium mine in Australia, and one of only two fuel recycling plants in the world.
