Butchers Hill 2009 House Tour
The 32nd annual Butchers Hill House Tour of spectacular Victorian town homes, historic renovations, contemporary takes on the row house, and new designs in old spaces, is Sunday, October 18th from noon to 5 pm. Nine homes throughout the historic neighborhood will be open to touring.The tour begins at Patterson Park's "White House" where East Lombard Street meets South Patterson Park Avenue. Tickets may be purchased the day of the tour for $15 or in advance for $12. Advance sales are available at:

נחל עין זהב ופארק הזהב הם משאבי טבע ייחודיים בלב העיר קריית שמונה, אוצרות טבע אמיתיים בלב העיר. האזור המיוער שבפארק הוא השריד האחרון של בתי גידול לחים עשירים בצמחייה ובעלי חיים, והפארק כולו הוא פנינת טבע לציבור, לטיול ומנוחה.
נחל עין זהב נמצא בסכנת התייבשות בעקבות שאיבת המים הגוברת של חברת מקורות בהוראת רשות המים כשחלק ניכר מהמים מועבר לחברת נביעות. פעילים סביבתיים בגליל העליון קוראים "לעצור את הייבוש, למעננו ולמען הדורות הבאים. מצאו פתרון שאיבה חלופי והחזירו את המים לנחל הזהב – ולציבור". ניתן להצטרף לקריאה זו באמצעות חתימה על העצומה:

כללי-גירוש ילדי מהגרי העבודה - משפיעים על ההחלטה
פתיחת תערוכת צילומים של ילדי מהגרי עבודה בגלריה "Contemporary by Golconda" בבעלות רוני פורר. בתערוכה יוצגו עשרות פורטרטים של ילדי מהגרי עבודה מועמדים לגירוש לצד "תעודת זהות" אישית על כל ילד- שמו, תחביביו, חלומותיו ופחדיו, תעודה המסמלת את תעודת הזהות האמיתית לה הילדים כה מייחלים. תמורת הצילומים קודש לפעילות ארגון "ילדי ישראל".
