Punto de Encuentro 17-S (iniciativa de Enric Duran)

1 año después de hacer publico la expropriación de 18 bancos (para crear las revistas Crisi y Podemos!), Enric Duran y el colectivo Crisi propone para el 17 de septiembre de crear en toda españa un día de acción para conocer las alternativas concretas para vivir sin capitalismo (banca ética, grupos de consumo responsable, software libre, decrecimiento, cooperativas, comunidades de morosos...)

התקפות ליליות על בילעין - קריאה כללית לעזרה

שלשום בלילה הגיעו כוחות הכיבוש שוב, באישון לילה, אל הכפר בלעין. הפעם הגיעו החיילים לביתו של עבדאללה אבו-רחמה, חבר הועדה העממית, במטרה לעצור גם אותו. עבדאללה לא היה בבית, ואשתו מג'ידה התקשרה למוחמד ח'טיב, חבר הועדה העממית ומזכיר מועצת הכפר, וביקשה ממנו שיבוא לעזרה. מיד כאשר הגיע מוחמד לביתו של עבדאללה, החלו החיילים לתקוף אותו: הם הכו בו בפניו בחוזקה, והוא נאלץ לנסוע לבית החולים ברמאללה, ולטפל בפצעיו.

הפלישות הליליות אל הכפר בלעין הפכו בחודשים האחרונים דבר של שגרה. בחסות החשיכה כוחות הצבא פולשים לכפר, מכים בתושבים באלות ובאגרופים, יורים ברחובות ומטילים אימה ופחד על כל התושבים. בפלישות אלו עצרו כוחות הכיבוש עשרות תושבי הכפר בלעין, ביניהם מנהיגים פוליטיים מהוועדה העממית נגד הגדר.

לנוכח החמרת האלימות, ולבקשת הועדה העממית, אנו מזמינים את כל התומכים בכפר בלעין ובמאבקו הצודק, להגיע לכפר ולהפגין נוכחות ישראלית בכפר.

"Committing Poetry in Times of War follows Youth Poetry Slam Tram coach Bill Nevins firing as a teacher, and the silencing of his outspoken High School Poetry Team.  Peaceful protesters demonstrating nearby were brutally assaulted by police as free speech zones were enforced at gunpoint.  The fabric of the Constitution was crumbling.  Yet out of this fire arose a diverse community of musicians and poets.  Dubbed Poetic Justic, its 'blood pounding' slam poetry was a testament to our creative spirit representing a path toward transformation and hope."

Join us with Eric Sirotkin, longtime National Lawyer's Guild member and one of the producers of Committing Poetry in Times of War for coffee, film and conversation.
