Join activists on Saturday, September 12, 2009 to converge on the Army Experience Center at Franklin Mills Mall in Philadelphia. Plans call for activists to begin gathering as early as 11:00 am on the parking lot of St. Luke's United Church of Christ located at 11080 Knights Road Philadelphia, PA 19154 www.stlukesu cc-phila. net/directio. htm

Participants will be instructed on the plans for the day and will be given cell phone numbers to keep in constant contact with demonstration organizers. There is no lead organizer or committee designated to work with civil and military authorities. We will have trained legal observers with us throughout the day. We simply ask demonstrators to engage in nonviolent means of expressing their outrage.

Throughout the day, we will keep a vigil of several individuals at the intersection of Knights Road and Woodhaven Road, located between the church and the AEC. Activists will also be able to check in with vigilers for instructions.

Affinity groups are encouraged to drift into the mall from different entrances before the 2 PM convergence at the AEC. Participants are advised to enter the mall from a variety of locations without drawing attention from authorities.

Chris Hedges, author of Empire of Illusion: The End of Literacy and the Triumph of Spectacle" and the Rev. Robert Moore, Exec. Director of the Coalition for Peace Action will address the crowd in front of the Army Experience Center at 2:00 pm.

MARTXA '09 CONTRA EL TAV

Desde el sábado día 5 hasta el 12 de Septiembre, una marcha recorrerá el trazado de las obras del Tren de Alta Velocidad entre Gazteiz y Bilbao que está acometiendo el Ministerio de Fomento. Se trata de una iniciativa que parte de todo tipo de grupos locales opositores a esta infraestructura.

Partiendo de Gasteiz la tarde del sábado 5, la intención de esta marcha es triple: por un lado, ofrecer la oportunidad de conocer de primera mano los estragos causados por las obras del TAV, así como conocer las zonas aún no dañadas que sucumbirían de seguir con este despropósito socioambiental; por otro lado relacionar este proyecto con muchos otros (autovías, autopistas, circunvalaciones, superpuertos, líneas de muy alta tensión, térmicas, gaseoductos...) que lo acompañan en el espacio y el tiempo en esta locura desarrollista en que se ha convertido nuestro actual sistema político-económico y reflexionar sobre cómo acabar y apartarse definitivamente de él; y por último, estrechar lazos entre todas aquellas personas y grupos que deseen aunar fuerzas y recursos para pasar a la ofensiva y paralizar las destrucciones de este proyecto injusto en lo social y dilapidador de ecosistemas en lo ambiental; asimismo, a lo largo de la marcha habrá la oportunidad de realizar distintos tipos de actividades de denuncia del TAV.

Cuando la crisis actual en ciernes (que es social, ambiental y económica) ha mostrado nítidamente que el sistema capitalista (crecimiento perpetuo) además de criminal, injusto y ambientalmente inviable se ha topado con límites físicos (energéticos, recursos naturales y sumideros) y la clase político-empresarial dominante está más obtinada que nunca en ahondar más en el camino al abismo con una batería de proyectos megalomanos en progresión ascendente hacia la barbarie desarrollista, nuestro deber pasa inexorablemente por comunicar-concienciar a las personas sobre ello y unirnos en la reflexión y la acción para parar este monstruo. En este momento es más necesario que nunca que la lucha vaya amplificándose y siga hacia adelante hasta desarraigar del imaginario colectivo este mal llamado ?progreso? como crecimiento material y ?desarrollo? como destrucción del medio natural que es la base de la vida.

La participación en la marcha está abierta a quien quiera sumarse a ella, y para eso se informará del lugar de salida y hora en lodos los pueblos.

הפגנה נגד משטר ההיתרים המונע מחקלאים פלסטינים גישה לאדמותיהם

בשבת הקרובה, ה-12 בספטמבר, בשעות הצהריים, תתקיים בכפרים בית סוריק ובידו הפגנה גדולה במחאה על משטר ההיתרים, המונע מהחקלאים הפלסטינים גישה לאדמותיהם שמעבר לגדר ההפרדה. ההפגנה תתקיים מול השער החקלאי הנמצא מול ההתנחלות הר-אדר, הבנויה על אדמות בית סוריק ובידו. תחת משטר ההיתרים, החל ברחבי הגדה ונכנס לתוקף לפני חצי שנה באזור "עוטף ירושלים", מנועים החקלאים הפלסטינים מלעבור לאדמותיהם שמעבר לגדר ההפרדה, זאת כאשר אין בידיהם היתר מיוחד. משטר ההיתרים מהווה דוגמא מייצגת לבירוקרטיה הקפקאית של הכיבוש: ההיתרים ניתנים לתקופות קצרות, אשר לאחריהן נאלצים התושבים לשוב ולהידפק על דלתות המנהל האזרחי בתקווה שזה יאות לחדשם. קבלת היתר מותנית בקיומם של תנאים שונים, אך גם קיומם אינו מבטיח את קבלת ההיתר, שכן שיקול הדעת בעניין נתון באורח גורף בידי צה"ל והמינהל האזרחי. כך, בכל מקום בגדה בו הוחל משטר ההיתרים הגישה של הפלסטינים לאדמותיהם שמעבר לגדר הוגבלה וצומצמה מאד. מקורה של מדיניות זה באינטרס ברור: סיפוח עתידי של אדמות הכפרים אשר כלואים בצדה השני של הגדר. הכפרים בידו ובית סוריק ידועים בשל מאבקם העיקש נגד גדר ההפרדה בשנת 2004. בבית סוריק נחל המאבק המשפטי ניצחון, ותוואי הגדר במקום שונה. בכפר בידו הרגו כוחות הכיבוש חמישה מבני הכפר, במהלך ההפגנות העממיות. פרטים נוספים על הסעה מתל אביב: 052-4707885. פרטים נוספים על ההסעות מירושלים: 052-6557956
