Austin Critical Mass Goals:

1. To create attention, a platform and a voice for alternative transportation, (mainly bicyclists and supporters of a better mass transit system) in Austin.

2. This attention will help in bicycle/car safety relationships.

3. To encourage people in Austin to consider using bicycles as alternative to cars.

4. To help necessitate the need for more bike lanes throughout the Austin metro area.

5. To beautify our community, by removing some cars from the streets for a few hour time period, and taking the time to enjoy the beauty of the city.

6. Please come for your own reason. Do not come, or not come for reasons due to other people's beliefs or disbeliefs. Come on your own terms for your own reason and have fun!

Critical Mass

Cyclists meet at Charles and Redwood Streets 5:45 p.m. the last Friday of every month. Critical Mass is a slow bicycle protest through downtown Baltimore.

Critical Mass is a national phenomenon which has arisen in response to what many call the "car-culture" -- an overdependence on the private automobile. It is, more than anything else, a reclamation of space, a demonstration to show that the city belongs to people and not machines.

There will be a daily vigil from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Senator John Kerry's house at Louisburg Square on Beacon Hill in Boston, starting Tuesday, December 28 - Wednesday, January 5. On New Year's Eve only the vigil will be from 4:00-5:00 p.m.

- We are asking Senator Kerry not to certify the electoral college vote
on January 6, 2005 and to encourage other Senators and Representatives not
to certify.

- We are asking Senator Kerry to support any other Senators and Representatives who are planning not to certify.

In the real world, you need only ride a bicycle and you have reduced: air pollution, noise pollution, overconsumptive land usage, marine oilslicks, millions of animal deaths, the incidence of heart disease, the road toll, your monthly transport budget. Your personal gain is nothing compared to the benefits you offer to the greater community.

Urban bicycle riding in Tel Aviv as well as other cities. Critical Mass is a monthly bicycle tour within cities intended to increase awareness to the existence of bicycle riders (as opposed to air-polluting private car users) and to their rights!

Few bicycle lanes already exist in Tel Aviv but there is a long way to go to make this city (and other cities) bicycle-friendly.

מול ג'איוס, שאיבדה את רוב אדמותיה בשל הגדר, נבנות בימים אלה התנחלויות
חדשות, המוצגות כהרחבה של ההתנחלות הקיימת צופין. הקמתן היא חלק מתנופת
הבניה של התנחלויות הגדר החדשות, המסמנות את השלב החדש בפרויקט מערכת
הגדרות.
ב-10.12 עקרו הבולדוזרים של חברת "גאולת הארץ" כשלוש-מאות עצי זית בחלקתו
של תאופיק חסן סלים מג'איוס, וביום ראשון (19.12) בלמו תושבים אמיצים
מג'איוס את הבולדוזרים שנכנסו לחלקות להמשיך בהרס.
עם השלמת הבנייה, יאבדו תושבי ג'איוס את שארית אדמותיהם שמעבר לגדר
(התבוננו במפה המצורפת).

Critical Mass started on September 25th, 1992 in Sqan Francisco. 10 years later it is still going strong has spread to voer 300 cities. Pinellas County Juvenile Justice Council (Special Meeting)

An unscheduled "special meeting" has been called of the Pinellas County Juvenile Justice Council (This is the citizens advisory council of the Department of Juvenile Justice)by citizen-advocates on the Council who are tired of the "business as usual" crap being troweled out by the pro-establishment Council leadership. Certain Council officers & members have been an obstruction to reform by failing to comply with state law re Council operation - we plan to hold them accountable!

Field Trip to the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, MA.

Join families from the Cummington Family Center (CFC) at the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, MA for their 4th Annual Ugly Bug Ball on 12/31/04. Dress in your favorite bug costume and join in a parade, songs and dance. The drop-in playgroups at the CFC will be closed on this day.
