"The Iraq Crisis as a Global Crisis"--a different perspective

Democrats Abroad and People for a Social Change are hosting a brunch discussion with Middle East expert and renowned author Juan Cole, who will address "The Iraq Crisis as a Global Crisis." On his blog Informed Comment (juancole.com) Cole offers a different perspective on American foreign policy in the Middle East, and includes the Arab view of events through translations and synopses of Arab media reports.
Cole will also be signing copies of his most recent book "Napoleon's Egypt: Invading the Middle East."
Cost is 4000 yen (2000 for students with valid ID) and includes donations to a group promoting peace in the Middle East and Democrats Abroad Japan's Get Out the Vote effort.
