"We don't want half measures. We demand an amnesty, the immediate and unconditional legalization of the 12 million undocumented workers who lived and work in this country." -Nativo Lopez

The cause of immigrant rights has galvanized millions of people over the last few months. This past spring we saw mass marches across the country opposing bills which would criminalize undocumented workers and their supporters. Recently, bills have appeared which call for a "compromise," which would legalize some while forcing others into second-class citizenship, and send more armed troops to patrol the border. It would also completely exclude many of the recent immigrants in the Washington, DC area. We deserve better than this "compromise."

Nativo Lopez is a tireless supporter of unconditional legalization for all immigrants. He was a spokesperson for the Great American Boycott this past May 1st, which saw millions of people around the United States take to the streets in support of amnesty for undocumented workers. Come join him as well as key local activists for a discussion about what is next for the immigrant rights movement and about how we can win equality for all.
