לפני כחודש הרס מינהל מקרקעי ישראל את ביתם של זינה ועומר אל-עדאסי בשכונת
עג'מי ביפו.

בעקבות ההריסה החליטה הועדה העממית של יפו ביחד עם משפחת אל-עדאסי, ליזום מבצע
לבניית הבית מחדש.


ההחלטה היא חלק ממדיניות כללית של הועדה ותושבי יפו:

*לא נפסיק להתנגד להריסות הבתים ביפו! כל בית שייהרס ייבנה מחדש! *

*יש למצוא פתרון כולל לבעיית הדיור ביפו, לדור הנוכחי ולדורות הבאים!*


בסוף השבוע של ה-3 וה-4 באוגוסט יתקיים מבצע הבנייה מחדש.

למבצע נרתמו בעלי עסק וקבלנים מיפו, והועד נגד הריסות בתים. אנו מזמינים אתכם
להצטרף למבצע ולעזור בידיכם ובנוכחותכם בבניית בית למשפחת אל-עדאסי, ובהפגנת
מחאה נגד המדיניות המנשלת והגזענית של מינהל מקרקעי ישראל, עמידר, עיריית תל
אביב, ומשרד השיכון.

*רקע*:

לפני כשלושה שבועות הרס מינהל מקרקעי ישראל את ביתם של זינה ועומר אל עדאסי
שליד הנמל בשכונת עג'מי ביפו. בשעה חמש לפנות בוקר הגיעו הדחפורים, מלוום
בעשרות שוטרים, אל הבית והרסו אותו, על תכולתו. למשפחת אל-עדאסי 4 ילדים, אחד
מהם נכה. הם גרו בבית במשך 26 שנים. כיום הם מתגוררים תחת כיפת השמיים, בפרדס
ביפו.


הריסת בית משפחת עדאסי הינה חלק מגל עכשווי של מאות צווי הריסה ופינוי ביפו. גל
זה נועד לפנות כמה שיותר תושבים פלסטינים יפואיים לטובת כניסתם של יזמים ובעלי
הון, המקדמים את הפיכתה של יפו לעיר ליהודים-עשירים בלבד. חברת עמידר, האמונה
על ניהול הנכסים לדיור ציבורי , ומי שאמורה לשמור על זכויות דייריה, יוזמת
בעצמה חלק גדול מהפינויים, ומקדמת מכירת נכסיה לאותם בעלי ההון. עיריית ת"א
רואה בעין יפה את תהליך הייהוד והג'נטריפיקציה, ורק עכשיו, כשהמשקיעים בפתח,
היא פונה לשיקום עג'מי, אחרי עשרות שנים של הזנחה פושעת.


*הועדה העממית של יפו*

הועדה העממית ביפו קמה לפני כחמישה חודשים במטרה להיאבק בגל ההריסות והפינויים.
מטרתה להגן על זכויותיהם של תושבי יפו המקוריים על הקרקע. דרישותיה הן להכיר
בתושבי יפו המוגדרים כפולשים לא חוקיים כתוצאה ממדיניות ארוכת שנים של אפליה,
ולהקצות קרקעות לתושביה הפלסטינים של יפו, בהווה ובעתיד, תוך התחשבות בצורכי
הקהילה ושמירת אופייה הפלסטיני של העיר.**

في يافا بعد التنسيق مع عائلة العداسي بناء البيت من جديد.


القرار لبناء البيت منبثق عن السياسة العامة للجنة الشعبية:

*لن نتوقف عن المعارضة وصد هدم أي بيت في يافا, كل بيت سيهدم سنبنيه من جديد!*

*يجب توفير حل عام لمشاكل السكن في يافا, للأجيال الحاضرة والقادمة!*

*خلفية:*

قبل ثلاثة أسابيع تم هدم بيت زينة وعمر العداسي والذي يقع قرب الميناء في حي
العجمي من قبل دائرة اراضي اسرائيل (מנהל מקרקעי ישראל). في تمام الساعة
الخامسة صباحاً وصلت الجرّافات برفقة العشرات من أفراد الشرطة وهدمت البيت, على
كل ما يحوي من أغراض العائلة. لعائلة عداسي أربعة أولاد, أحدهم غير قادر على
المشي. سكنوا في البيت 26 عاما, اليوم يلتحفون السماء في إحدى بيارات يافا.


هدم بيت عائلة العداسي هو واحد من مئات أوامر الهدم للسكان في يافا, هذه الموجة
من أوامر الهدم موجهة ضد السكان العرب الفلسطينيين في يافا لكي يخلوا بيوتهم
ويدخلوا مكانهم أصحاب الأملاك والأغنياء, وفي نهاية الأمر تصبح يافا للأغنياء
اليهود فقط. شركة عميدار المسؤولة عن السكن الجماهيري والتي من واجبها الحفاظ
على حقوق السكان, هي نفسها تبادر لقسم كبير من أوامر الهدم والإخلاء, وتسوق
المساكن لأصحاب الأملاك الأغنياء. بلدية تل أبيب مرتاحة جداً لمشروع تهويد
يافا, وبعد إهمال حي العجمي خلال عشرات السنوات السابقة, تبدأ من اليوم في
اعمال الترميم وذلك لمصلحة ومن اجل المستثمرين المستقبليين.


*اللجنة الشعبية في يافا *

اللجنة الشعبية تأسست قبل حوالي خمسة أشهر لكي تقاوم سياسة الهدم والإخلاء.
هدفها الحفاظ على حقوق السكان الأصليين على الأرض. المطالب الأساسية للجنة هي
الإعتراف بالسكان الأصليين في يافا واللذين تعتبرهم الؤسسات الحكومية "غير
قانونيين" نتيجة سياسة التمييز خلال عشرات السنين, تخصيص الأرض للسكان
الأصليين, حاضراً ومستقبلاً, مع الأخذ بعين الإعتبار إحتياجات السكان والحفاظ
على طابع يافا الفلسطيني.



* **Weekend of Home Rebuilding in Jaffa, 3-4 August 07*

Three weeks ago, the Israel Land Administration destroyed the home of Zina
and Omar Al-Adassi

in Ajami neighborhood. Following the demolition, the Jaffa Popular
Committee,

acting together with the Al-Adassi family, decided to initiate the
rebuilding of the home.


The decision is part of a general police of the Committee and of Jaffaresidents:

*We will not stop opposing home demolitions!*

*Every house demolished will be build anew!*

*A complete solution must be found for Jaffa's residential problems,*

* for the current generation as well as the next!*


On the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of August, there will be a rebuilding
effort.

Business owners and builders from Jaffa have volunteered, as well as the
Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD). We invite you to join
the effort and to help with your labor and your presence in the rebuilding
of the Al-Adassi home and in a protest against the racist policy of the
Israel Land Administration, the Amidar company, the Tel Aviv municipality,
and the Ministry of Housing.

*Background:***

Three weeks ago, the Israel Land Administration destroyed the home of Zina
and Omar Al-Adassi near the port in the Ajami neighborhood. Bulldozer
arrived at 5am, accompanied by dozens of police. They demolished the home,
collapsing it upon its contents. The Al-Adassi family has four children, one
of whom is disabled. They lived in their home for 26 years. Now they are
living under the open skies, in an orchard in Jaffa.


The demolition of the Al-Adassi family home is part of a current wave of
hundreds of demolition and evacuation orders in Jaffa. This wave was
designed to evacuate as many Palestinian residents of Jaffa as possible so
that capitalists and real-estate developers can come in, who are promoting
the conversion of Jaffa into an exclusively wealthy-Jewish city. The Amidar
company that is charged with the management of public residence, and that is
meant to protect the rights of its residents, has itself initiated the wave
of evacuations and is promoting the sale of its assets to those very same
capitalists. The Tel Aviv Municipality sees the process of Judaization and
gentrification as positive. Only now, when the investors are knocking on the
doors, it has begun restoring the Ajami neighborhood, after decades of
criminal negligence.


*The Jaffa Popular Committee***

The Jaffa Popular Committee was founded five months ago in order to struggle
against the wave of home demolitions and evacuations. Its purpose is to
protect the rights of the original Jaffa residents on the ground. Its
demands are the legal recognition of those Jaffa residents who are defined
as illegal invaders due to a long-standing policy of discrimination, and the
allocation of land to the Palestinian residents of Jaffa, now and in the
future, whilst maintaining the needs of the community and preserving the
Palestinian nature of the city.

לפני כחודשיים פלשו מתנחלים, בניגוד לצו בית המשפט, לשטח שבבעלות משפחת ג'עברי שבחברון. בני המשפחה ביקשו מהמתנחלים לעזוב את השטח
אך נענו באלימות ואף בירי מנשק חם. לאחר האירוע התבקשו שניים מבני המשפחה על ידי השוטרים לגשת לתחנת המשטרה ולהגיש תלונה אך שם הואשמו הם בתקיפה ונעצרו. הם שוחררו בערבות רק כעבור כשבוע. למותר לציין שהמשטרה לא ערכה חקירה מינימלית בקשר לירי ואפילו לא טרחה לאסוף את התרמילים.

Dear Friends.
About two month ago settlers in Hebron invaded the land of Abdul Kharim el Gaabri who lives right below 'Givaat Haavot' in Hebron. The family asked the settlers to leave but instead they opened fire. At the end the father and his son were arrested and no action was taken to investigate the settlers or even pick the cartriges of the gun fire. Both father and son were bailed out with our help but have to stand in court in few month.
On August 3rd we shall conduct a solidarity visit to the family during which we shall help them work on their land.

Tours of Hebron

Hebron is one of the most problematic places in the occupied territories. It is the only place where a settlement lies in the heart of a Palestinian city. A minority of 600 settlers living among 40,000 Palestinians in H2 (Israeli jurisdiction) area raises a very complex situation. Moving restrictions, closures of commercial activities, limited access and settler violence makes life for the Palestinians almost impossible.

"Breaking the Silence" and "Children of Abraham" have been conducting tours to Hebron for the last two years. The tour combines history, legal and actual aspects of the reality in Hebron. We will walk through the H2 area, starting from the Tomb of the Patriarchs, along the Shuhada Jewish neighbourhoods. In the Tel-Rumeida neighbourhood we will visit some Palestinian residents who tell us about their life.

The next tour will be on Friday, August 17th. The tour will be coordinated with the Israeli police. We will leave Jerusalem at 8.30 and we will be back around 3 p.m. Participation costs 40 NIS.
