Binghamton) on what is happening in Venezuela under the regime of Hugo Chavez. It is hard to find reports in the US media that are not either
extremely critical or profusely enthusiastic.

"So what's happening in Venezuela?" will offer a thoughtful discussion of Chavez's impact on Venezuela and how his political agenda affects Latin American politics as well as relations with our own country.

Among the panelists are Edgar Moros, currently a Venezuelan graduate student at Binghamton University, and Carmen Ferradas, Director of LACAS
and member of the Anthropology Department, BU. Ferradas will speak about Chavez from an Argentinian perspective.
