Help New England Wildlife & Habitat
Wednesday, 04 May 2005
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
New England Wildlife Center (NEWC) in Hingham, MA serves a unique role in this region, treating injured, sick, or orphaned wildlife and releasing them back to the wild whenever possible. In addition to their wildlife teaching hospital, they are on the front lines of education regarding wildlife and habitat preservation, offering wildlife and environmental education through internships, in-school programs, and camps.
A delicious vegetarian dinner (reception at 6pm, dinner at 7pm), followed by a presentation by author David Baron, a 20 year veteran of public radio (WBUR, NPR, and now PRI/BBC). Baron is author of "The Beast in the Garden: a modern parable of Man and Nature."
This is a fundraiser for the nonprofit NEWC, so you can have a tasty veggie meal, hear an intriguing program, and help fund NEWC's work for wildlife and the environment.
