Wet Seal Protest

Monday, 27 December 2004
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Organizer: Amber Coon

An estimated 350 million rabbits annually have their skulls brutally bashed in or their necks broken or slit before being slung up by their legs and having their heads cut off. This is the process it takes to prepare their carcasses to be made into luxury items like meat and fur trim.
We have a tremendous opportunity to convince Wet Seal to make a compassionate choice and replace rabbit fur items with faux fur styles.
With the monumental victory with Forever 21 behind us, we need to keep the pressure on Wet Seal and demand that they too, like leading retailers Abercrombie & Fitch, The Gap and most recently, Forever 21, take a stand against cruelty and remove fur from their shelves.

For more information on the campaign and our recent victory against Forever 21, please go to http://www.peta2.com/tc/t-wetseal.html

WHAT:I'll have all of the poster you'll need, just bring yourself.Afterward,an activist meeting and a free round of coffee or cocoa!
If you cannot attend, please give the store a call sometime around the protest time or that day. Let them know that you will no longer shop there. It will make the protest a million times more effective even if you couldn't be there in person.
The number is: 585-425-0170

________________ If You Cannot Attend Any Demonstrations___________________________

Please contact the Wet Seal corporate office- the number is 1-800-735-7325
Leave them a message and let them know you will not support them as long as the sell real fur.
Keep in mind that the call is free to you, and, coming from a pay phone costs them 50 cents each time. For a company with such financial troubles at the moment, they will not be able to get through both a boycott and rising phone bills due to ex-customers.

Location:
The Eastview Mall, Victor, the entrance across from Target
