This is an analysis of media coverage on Iraq by an insider. Did the US media wave the flag so the FCC would waive media ownership rules? How did and still does the Administration and Army shape the coverage? Did the Army deliberately open fire on the Palestine Hotel (full of independent journalists)? These and other issues are covered.
Please publicize. Would your organization like to adopt a showing & have a brief speaker afterwards?
Danny Schechter ("your news dissector") has won Emmys working for ABC & NBC & 60 minutes -- also directed "Counting on Democracy" about Florida.
The film is winning awards & getting rave reviews (Boston Phoenix: "More cohesive and devastating than Fahrenheit 911"; Vanity Fair: "Something of a comic masterpiece" (!), Le Monde gave it a 4-page spread; it was the featured film o the "Films to See Before You Vote" festival.
