Were do we go from here? Post Election Political Analysis with author Paul Aaron
Thursday, 18 November 2004
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Organizer: Lucy Parsons Center
The election is over. We have work to do. The goal of this discussion is to encourage the Democratic process, and to get people thinking about how their actions will effect the next election. Aaron will read from his book, Bush Doubles Oil Price and other stories, fact and fiction as well as from new pieces. Questions and readings from the audience are encouraged.
"What ethical basis do we want for our government?" In Bush Doubles Oil Price and other stories, fact and fiction by Dr. Paul Aaron, his fictional president states, "No lie is immoral if it brings us to follow what we are
instructed by God." Wars and genocide start with those kinds of words. No more grave than our newspaper headlines, this fictional character's words are deadly.
