San Diego Amnesty International Chapter in Conjunction with World Beat Center in Balboa Park invites San Diegans to meet with the West Coast Delegation of the Ciudad Juarez Caravan, originating in Seattle, and to hear Speaker Mrs. Ramona Morales, mother of Silvia Flena Rivera Morales who was murdered in 1995.
Featured speaker is the mother of Silvia Alena, who was murdered in 1995 and vilified by the local Ciudad Juarez police who characterized her as a prostitute, which was a lie. Mrs. Ramona Morales, 65, will be speaking on the Ciudad Juarez Delegation Tour. She is seeking justice for her daughter's death and asking for apologies and restoration of her daughter's reputation by the police officials.
Following comments by Ms. Jessica Martinez of Mexico Solidarity Network, the lead sponsor of the delegation, reggae music and dancing will be enjoyed. The Stranger reggae band will be performing.
