The acclaimed film documents the murders of over 300 young women in the border town of Juarez, Mexico in the last ten years. While women continue to disappear today, the documentary takes a critical look at the maquila (foreign, mostly U.S. owned factories) that many of the women work in as well as the possible complicity of the Mexican government. The screening is in conjunction with the INTERNATIONAL CARAVAN FOR JUSTICE IN JUAREZ AND CHIHUAHUA CITY which will be stopping in Denver and Boulder October 23rd -25th. On this national tour, mothers of disappeared girls will be speaking out to demand justice for these heinous crimes.
