Howard Has High Hopes

What do Rodney Dangerfield, Bill Maher, Joe Rogan, Montel Williams, Jack Black, Jesse Ventura and a host of many others have in common? I’ll give you a hint…it is a medical marijuana comedy show benefit…

On Sunday, October 10th, 2004, Moe’s Alley (1535 Commercial Way, Santa Cruz) is the place to be for a hilarious night of comedy and live music. Comics include, but are not limited to, Grace White (gracewhiteproductions.com), that Rasta Jew, Howard Stone (howardstone.com), Stella Valente (stellavalente.com) and the music is courtesy of Diane Patterson. Diane is referred to as “Folk Goddess” by the Whole Earth Festival where her powerful, original music has been featured for the past 15 years. And on top of that, there will be raffles and crafts available for purchase, with all proceeds to benefit the wonderful people of the Wo/Men’s Alliance of Medical Marijuana. Your support is greatly needed and appreciated. Make no mistake about it. Santa Cruz is ground zero for the unnecessary war on medical marijuana patients.

Tickets are only $10 and available at the door. Show time is 8:20 pm. (That’s 4:20 in Portugal!) Doors open at 7:30 pm.

Last year’s show raised enough for a couple of ounces, so hopefully this show will do better! One thing is guaranteed for sure, this evening will be a smoking good time!
