Open Hack Night, the 3rd Wednesday of every month @ Voz Alta, 1544 Broadway. Last month we had Grrrl Zines a Go-Go and an intro to video editing workshop. This month, we'll have Zine making and more workshops including this one:

Intro to the GNU/Linux command line with Debian

This workshop will introduce users to the basic commands that are useful for using a debian/ubuntu machine on a day-to-day basis. It will focus on using the bash shell well and a handful of essential commands. It is
intended to make users who are new to linux, or just terrified of it, more comfortable with the command line. The command line interface can actually be very powerful, at times even more useful than a gui, and users should embrace it instead of being scared away from it.
