תושבי סילואן המוחים נגד העוול הנעשה לוקחים על עצמם סיכון בהרימם ראש. חובתנו
כשכנים לעמוד לצידם ולהראות להם שאנו תומכים בהם! ביום שישי ב-9.00 בבוקר
תתקיים משמרת מחאה וסולידאריות של ישראלים מול הכניסה לאתר "עיר דוד" (ליד
"חניון גבעתי"). אנו נחכה לתיירים אשר יגיעו לסיורים עם שלטים ופליירים על-מנת
להבהיר להם מי עומד מאחורי הסיורים, והיכן בעצם באו לטייל.


רקע:

עמותת אלע"ד פועלת זה למעלה מעשור לטיהור ויהוד שכונת וואדי חילווה שבסילואן.

העמותה פועלת להשגת מטרותיה בדרכים מגוונות – קניית בתים בכסף או תוך שימוש
בזיוף ומרמה, הפעלת רשת של משתפי פעולה המחריבה את הקהילה מבפנים, אולם הכלי
העיקרי שבאמצעותו פועל גוף מחרחר מלחמה וגזעני זה הוא שימוש בחפירות
ארכיאולוגיות ותיירות "עיר דוד" ככלי לנשל את תושבי השכונה. מדינת ישראל מסרה
את האחריות והשליטה על אתר החפירות לעמותה, אשר יצרה מנגנון של גירוש תושבים
מאדמותיהם, גזילת שטחים ציבוריים משימוש האוכלוסייה המקומית, סגירת אדמות אלו
בגדרות ושומרים, ומניעת כניסת התושבים לאזורים אלו. אלע"ד מקיימת חפירות
ארכיאולוגיות אגרסיביות שמנוהלות בסודיות, שלא כדין, תוך הפרה של כללי האתיקה
המקצועית ותחת אבטחה של יחידת האבטחה הפרטית וכך דוחקת את רגלי התושבים מעוד
ועוד אדמות ובתים. המערכת המשומנת של אלע"ד נעזרת בכל הרשויות הנוגעות בעניין:
עיריית ירושלים, רשות הטבע והגנים, רשות העתיקות, האפוטרופוס לנכסי נפקדים. כל
ניסיון של התושבים למחות נגד העוול והפלישה נתקלת בתגובה של המשטרה והשב"כ
המגויסים לטובת מפעל ההתנחלות באופן מוחלט.


מאות אלפי תיירים מובלים דרך אתר העתיקות בסילואן ועוברים שטיפת מוח שנהגתה על
ידי אלע"ד ונמסרת לצרכן במעטפה הממלכתית של רשות הטבע והגנים. סילוף האמת
והדריכה על חיי התושבים בסילוואן חייבים לצאת לאור, ובמיוחד לידיעת רבבות
התיירים הפוקדים את האתר.



The residents risk themselves and protest, we must stand along side them and
show them our support! On Friday, February 29, at 9.00am, Israeli residents
of Jerusalem will show solidarity and protest in front of the entrance to
the "City of David" visitor center . We will wait for the tourists with
signs and flyers, explaining to them who really stands behind the tours in
"City of David".


Background:

Elad association has been working to cleanse the neighborhood of Wadi Hilwe
in Silwan from it's Palestinian inhabitants for over a decade. The
association uses different means for its objectives: buying out houses
legally or by forgery and deceit, utilizing a network of collaborators which
destroys the community from within, and mainly using the archaeological
excavations and growing tourism as means to oust the local residents.

The state of Israel has given the full responsibility and control over the
archaeological sites in Silwan to Elad, which in turn created a method of
expelling citizens from their properties, appropriating public areas,
enclosing these lands with fences and guards, and banning the entrance of
the local residents. Elad monitors and executes aggressive archaeological
excavations which are conducted secretly and illicitly, while violating
international codes of ethic and under the protection of a private security
force. Elad has managed to put its foothold in all the authorities and
committees that are relevant to its cause: the Jerusalem municipality,
national state committees, the antiquities authority, the nature & national
parks protection authority, and the custodian for absentee property. Any
attempt by the local residents to stand up against Elad, is met by a swift
operation of the Israeli police and security services (shin-bet).

Hundreds of thousands of visitors a year are led through the excavation site
in Silwan, and are brainwashed with a biased narrative told by Elad, under
the charm of the national parks and antiquities authorities. The distortion
of facts and the oppression of the local residents must come to light, and
especially to those who visit the site.

نتشرف بدعوة حضرتكم لحضور أمسية مجانية للتعرف والتسجيل لدورة
"البرما-كالتشر" (permaculture) وذلك يوم الثلاثاء 20082\26 الساعة
18:30 في "المركز الأخضر" في بستان, شارع بازل 3\18 بئر السبع.

خبراء في مجال "البرما-كالتشر" سيناقشون مضمون الدورة ، وكيفية تحسين
نوعية الحياة ، والفرص المهنية داخل ميدان "البرما-كالتشر".


تقام دورة "البرما-كالتشر" للتدريب النظري والعملي, لتعلم مبادئ
"البرما-كالتشر", وذلك عبر إكساب المشاركين أدوات التحليل والتخطيط
وتطبيقها بشكل عملي, لتكون الرد على ألاحتياجات المعيشية الخاصة بالبيئة
الصحراوية.

سيقوم المشاركون في الدورة, بإقامة مشاريع خاصة بهم والتي تختص بإحدى أسس
"البرما-كالتشر". كالبناء بالطرق التقليدية, إنتاج السماد العضوي, إعادة
استخدام المياه العادمة, الزراعة العضوية, الطاقة الشمسية والمزيد...

في نهاية الدورة, يحصل كل مشارك ينهي مشروعه بنجاح, على شهادة معترف فيها
دوليا في مجال "البرما-كالتشر".

ستقدم منح دراسية للمشاركين, بإعطاء الأفضلية لسكان القرى غير-المعترف بها.

عدد المشاركين في الدورة محدود ل- 15 مشارك.

Zelda's Inferno Poetry Open Mic

It's time again for the Zelda's Inferno Poetry Open Mic, where the only featured reader is you. Come with your poems, stories, spoken words, and acoustic music. Doors open at 7pm, reading will start around 7:30pm. Our target end time is 10pm, but we're willing to go a little longer if the words are good. The open mic is being held in the Clark Room of 2640 St Paul St, please use the St Paul entrance, the 27th St entrance will be locked. If you have a zines, chapbooks, or CDs please bring them to give away or sell. See you on February 26th, last Tuesday of the month.
