Walking by Asking

We will be screening "Walking by Asking", followed by a presentation and discusson on Seeds of Peace, the group that provided the logistical support for the DNC2RNC march, feeding over 10,000 people.

"Walking by Asking" documents the 258-mile DNC2RNC: Democracy Uprising March from the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Boston to the Republican National Convention (RNC) in New York City. The march lasted 28 days and crossed four states, protesting the two-party political system while celebrating grassroots community organizing. This film also documents protests at the Republican National Convention and offers a comparative analysis between the police presence at the RNC and the average presence at a West Indian Parade in Brooklyn, New York.
