A Talk by Wade Rathke
Mr. Wade Rathke is Founder and Chief Organizer, of ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform NOW). Before establishing ACORN in 1974, Wade Rathke was one of the Lead Organizers, along with George Wiley, in the National Welfare Rights Organization. Wade's thirty years of work supporting the social justice efforts of low-income people make him one of the most significant civic leaders of our time. In addition to these activities, Wade founded Local 100 of SEIU which organizes domestics and other low-wage workers to secure just and livable wages through collective bargaining.
